About Ballot Yard
Ballot Yard is a neutral civic infrastructure vendor. We build and operate domain leasing and geo-routing infrastructure for campaigns, committees, and advocacy organizations. We are independent, bootstrapped, and take no position on any candidate, party, or cause.
The founding premise
Candidate and cause communication has a geography problem. Digital advertising platforms offer geo-targeting at the ad layer, but the destination URL is static. The same domain serves every visitor regardless of geography, limiting the ability to deliver contextually appropriate messaging at the infrastructure level.
Ballot Yard was built to solve that infrastructure layer. We assembled a curated portfolio of rhetorically structured domains and built a geo-routing platform on top of them. The result: a leasable geo-targeted messaging domain — a new asset class in domain leasing infrastructure that did not previously exist as a standalone marketplace.
Neutrality as an operating principle
Ballot Yard serves all lawful campaigns, committees, and organizations regardless of party, ideology, or candidate. Our neutrality is not a marketing position — it is a prerequisite for being trusted infrastructure. A platform that only serves one side is an advocacy organization with a billing portal. A platform that serves all sides is infrastructure. We intend to be infrastructure.
We do not endorse candidates, parties, or causes. We do not allow our platform to be used for content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy — but that policy is designed to prohibit clearly illegal and deceptive content, not to filter viewpoints.
We are early stage
Ballot Yard is a bootstrapped startup. We are building the platform, the policy framework, and the customer base simultaneously. We are candid about what we have and have not yet built. We are not overclaiming capabilities, certifications, or team size.
What we have: the domain portfolio, functional geo-routing infrastructure, a working lease platform, and a compliance review process. What we are building: better tooling, more geographic granularity, a proper lessee portal, and the operational depth that comes with scale.
